In a world overrun by hyped up, ambidextrous, malapropistic, apple-polishers, we're here to offer you (the audient) a thinly wooded vibrating alternative.
Little Symphony is a collection of (mostly Wellington based) musicians who perform their original instrumental compositions on a combination of saxophones, clarinets, guitars, flutes, trumpets and bassoons (and that's just one of them!). Featuring Blair Latham (The Woods, Tawhiri Funk), Jasmine Lovell-Smith (the Noveltones, Anthony Braxton), Baron Oscar Laven (The Frank Burkitt Band, The Neo Hot Jive Orchestra) and Raureka's own Anton Wuts (In The Mouth Of The Gift Horse, Goriilas on the Piss). Centred around Blair's multimedia piece “Space Flight” inspired by the Kurt Vonnegut novel “Sirens of Titan” and bookended by the catchiest ear worms this side of Lady G. (“just dance...” - sorry), an early evening not to be missed!
